Russian attacks on Sumy region leave three civilians killed, 13 injured

In the Sumy region, three people were killed and 13 others sustained injuries of varying severity over the past day as a result of Russian attacks.

According to Ukrinform, this was reported by the Sumy Region Police on Facebook.

Russian forces shelled 34 settlements across the Sumy region.

In the Khutir-Mykhailivskyi community, two men aged 37 and 33 were killed. Two others, aged 54 and 40, were injured.

In the Velyka Pysarivka community, a 62-year-old man was killed in enemy drone attacks. Another local resident, aged 55, was wounded.

In the Esman community, four civilians were injured as a result of a guided aerial bomb strike: men aged 69 and 61, and women aged 50 and 73.

In the Vorozhba community, two men aged 64 and 65 were injured when an enemy drone struck a civilian vehicle.

In the Khotin community, a 69-year-old man was wounded in a drone attack.

In the Sumy city community, two men aged 28 and 49 were injured due to a UAV strike. Another 23-year-old man was also wounded when a drone hit the city.

Investigative and explosive ordnance teams of the police worked at the scenes.

As reported by Ukrinform, according to the spokesperson for the Operational Command North, Major Oleksandr Babych, Russian forces have been deliberately targeting territorial recruitment centers in the Sumy and Chernihiv regions with drones in an attempt to disrupt mobilization. Over the past week, 24 people were injured and one person was killed in such attacks.
