Ukrainian border guards thwart massive Russian assault near Kostiantynivka

Russian forces attempted a large-scale assault toward Kostiantynivka, but Ukrainian border guards from the Phoenix unit stopped it with precise drone strikes.

The State Border Guard Service reported this, sharing footage of strikes on enemy vehicles and troops, according to Ukrinform.

“In the Kostiantynivka sector, the Russian invaders attempted a massive assault. Enemy infantry and vehicles advanced toward Ukrainian positions under the cover of armored vehicles and tanks,” the report said.

The Phoenix unit thwarted the attack by striking the enemy’s equipment with drones.

“Tanks and armored vehicles were left burned out in the Donetsk fields, vans and cars were shredded into scrap, and the assault troops simply vanished into the air,” the State Border Guard Service noted.

As reported by Ukrinform, since the start of the day, 66 attacks by Russian forces were recorded along the frontline, 21 of them in the Kostiantynivka sector.
