Casualties reported as Russian strike hits apartment building in Zaporizhzhia

Russian forces attacked the city of Zaporizhzhia, hitting an apartment block and leaving several people injured.

Ivan Fedorov, head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, announced this on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.

"Preliminary reports indicate that an enemy attack hit a multi-story building," he wrote.

Fedorov added that there were injured people, though the number of casualties has not yet been specified.

Emergency services are currently working at the scene.

Earlier, several explosions were heard in Zaporizhzhia. The Ukrainian Air Force had warned about Russian launches of guided aerial bombs toward the city.
