Death toll in Russian missile strike on Kharkiv rises to seven, including two children

In Kharkiv, rescuers have found other bodies under the rubble following a ballistic missile strike on a multi-story residential building.

This was reported on Telegram by Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov, according to Ukrinform.

“Under the rubble, the fifth body has been found,” Terekhov wrote.

Oleh Syniehubov, Head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, confirmed that a 13-year-old girl was among the fatalities.

Later, Terekhov reported the sixth victim: “The sixth deceased found is a boy.”

Oleh Syniehubov reported that the seventh body was recovered from the rubble.

Earlier reports stated that the enemy strike had effectively destroyed the entrance section of a five-story residential building in Kharkiv’s Kyivskyi district. Ten people were reported injured, including boys aged 6 and 11 and a 17-year-old girl.

Prior to this, rescuers had recovered the bodies of four people from the rubble. Up to ten people were believed to have been inside the building at the time of the strike.
