Ukraine’s air defenses down 129 out of 149 Russian drones overnight

Ukraine’s air defense forces have neutralized 129 out of 149 drones launched by Russian invaders against Ukraine since the evening of March 3.

According to Ukrinform, this was reported by the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Telegram.

According to the military, starting 18:00 on Tuesday, March 3, Russia attacked Ukraine with 149 strike UAVs, including Shahed-type drones, as well as Gerbera, Italmas, and other types of drones, launched from the directions of Bryansk, Kursk, Millerovo, and Primorsko-Akhtarsk in Russia, and Hvardiiske in temporarily occupied Crimea. About 100 of the drones were Shahed-type UAVs.

The air attack was repelled by aircraft, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units, unmanned systems units, and mobile fire groups of the Defense Forces of Ukraine.

According to preliminary data, as of 8:30 on Wednesday, March 4, air defense forces shot down or suppressed 129 drones in northern, southern, and eastern regions of Ukraine.

Hits by 19 strike UAVs were recorded at 15 locations, as well as the fall of downed targets (debris) at one location.

The attack is ongoing, with several enemy drones still in Ukraine’s airspace, the Air Force warned.

As previously reported by Ukrinform, Russian forces carried out more than 10 drone attacks and artillery strikes on the Kamianske, Synelnykove, Samarivka, and Nikopol districts of the Dnipropetrovsk region, damaging infrastructure.
