Fires break out in Kyiv following combined Russian attack

Fires have broken out in two districts of the capital as a result of a combined missile-and-drone attack by Russian forces.

This was reported on Telegram by Head of the Kyiv City Military Administration, Tymur Tkachenko, according to Ukrinform.

“In the Holosiivskyi district, a fire has broken out on the grounds of a private residence. The information is being clarified,” Tkachenko wrote.

“In the Pecherskyi district, a two-storey private house is on fire. We are checking information about possible casualties,” he later added.

Also, nine-storey residential building was damaged in Kyiv’s Darnytskyi district during a nighttime attack.

“In the Darnytskyi district, Russian forces damaged a nine-storey residential building. Fortunately, there were no casualties,” Tkachenko said.

As previously reported by Ukrinform, an air raid alert was declared in Kyiv and several other regions due to the threat of ballistic missiles.
