PACE delegation arrives in Kyiv
Ruslan Stefanchuk, Chair of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, met with a delegation from the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE), which arrived in Kyiv ahead of the anniversary of Russia’s full-scale invasion.
According to Ukrinform, Stefanchuk reported this on Facebook.
Stefanchuk briefed the delegation on the security situation, the results of his recent visit to Vienna, and his meeting with PACE President Petra Bayr. He emphasized the need to strengthen sanctions pressure on Russia without loopholes, establish a special tribunal, and ensure accountability for the aggressor state’s crimes.
The discussions also covered the importance of Europe’s full participation in the peace process.
“Meetings like this are crucial for coordinating positions on key decisions – from peace to reconstruction. Together we are stronger, and our regional alliances must only grow stronger,” Stefanchuk said.
He expressed gratitude to the PACE representatives for their support and for “being by our side at this critical time.”
As Ukrinform previously reported, during his Vienna visit, Stefanchuk and newly elected PACE President Petra Bayr discussed further consolidation of political support for Ukraine.
