Velikie Luki oil depot in Pskov region attacked by SSU drones
Last night, drones from the SSU's Special Operations Center "A" successfully struck the Velikie Luki oil depot in the Pskov region, almost 500 km from the Ukrainian border.
This was reported to Ukrinform by sources in the SSU.
“The SSU organized a spectacular attack on the Velikie Luki oil depot in the Pskov region: The enemy's anti-drone nets did not help,” the special service reported.
Local Telegram channels report that at least four explosions were recorded at the oil depot, followed by a large-scale fire. Employees of neighboring enterprises were evacuated en masse. Anti-drone nets were stretched over the fuel tanks, but they did not stop the SSU drones.
Pskovnefteprodukt LLC owns the Velikie Luki oil depot. It stores diesel fuel, gasoline, and other petroleum products.
“The SSU continues to methodically work on facilities that supply the Russian army with fuel. The destruction of oil depots directly affects the enemy's ability to conduct combat operations, advance, and transfer reserves. Such operations are part of a systematic weakening of the Russian Federation's military potential,” said a source in the SSU.
As reported by Ukrinform, in the Pskov region of the Russian Federation, after a drone attack on a local oil depot on Thursday night, a tank containing petroleum products caught fire, said Governor Mikhail Vedernikov.
On February 17, the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine struck a storage facility for the Russian Iskander operational-tactical missile complex and the Rubicon unit's piloting station.
