Russian forces hit apartment building in Zaporizhzhia

The Russian army attacked Zaporizhzhia, damaging the roof of an apartment building.

Secretary of the Zaporizhzhia City Council Rehina Kharchenko reported this on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.

"As a result of the Russian attack, an apartment building in one of the city districts was damaged," she wrote.

Kharchenko shared photos showing that the enemy projectile struck the roof. Windows on the stairwell from the 5th to the 9th floor were also shattered.

Municipal workers are already addressing the aftermath. The building still has electricity, gas, and water. The district administration is inspecting the surrounding areas.

Earlier reports indicated that the enemy is directing drones at Zaporizhzhia and the surrounding region. Sounds of Ukrainan forces operating were also heard in the city.
