Kherson State University attacked again amid ongoing Russian shelling
Russian forces have once again attacked the main building of Kherson State University.
The photos were shared on Facebook by the university’s rector, Oleksandr Spivakovskyi, Ukrinform reports.
"Last night, Russian barbarians continued to destroy the main building of Kherson State University," the rector wrote.
According to him, the attack targeted classrooms in the Faculty of Physics and Mathematics, where physics laboratories are located training hundreds of future physics teachers.
As reported by Ukrinform, since April 2022, Kherson State University has been temporarily relocated to the campus of Ivano-Frankivsk National University.
Previous Russian strikes damaged the university building on October 12 and October 17, 2023, in Kherson.
On March 28, 2024, Russian forces again shelled Kherson State University, destroying classrooms.
Overnight on January 13, 2026, Russian invading troops carried out another drone attack on the university building.
