Russians attack Zaporizhzhia, power grids damaged

Russian invading forces attacked the city of Zaporizhzhia. Energy workers reported damage to the power grid.

This was reported on Telegram by JSC Zaporizhzhiaoblenergo, Ukrinform says.

“Restoration of power grids damaged as a result of today’s shelling of Zaporizhzhia by Russian invading forces is currently underway. As a result, temporary technological power outages necessary for full restoration of electricity supply are occurring,” the energy company said.

Zaporizhzhiaoblenergo emphasized that these outages are localized and caused solely by enemy shelling.

The Russians attacked the city with drones. Explosions were heard in different districts of Zaporizhzhia.

As previously reported by Ukrinform, over the past 24 hours, Russian forces carried out 499 strikes across 24 settlements in the Zaporizhzhia region. Housing and infrastructure were damaged as a result of the attacks.
