Russian claims of capture of Prydorozhnie in Zaporizhzhia region dismissed by Ukrainian military
Reports by the Russian side claiming the alleged capture of the village of Prydorozhnie in the Zaporizhzhia region do not correspond to reality. The settlement remains under the control of Ukrainian defenders.
This was reported by the 33rd Separate Assault Regiment of the Ground Forces on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.
“The enemy, as always, colors in its maps on credit and then, in an attempt to catch up with its ‘achievements,’ sends sabotage and reconnaissance groups there to put up a rag,” the post says.
The regiment emphasized that such actions are unsuccessful.
“The result of such ‘photo sessions’ is always the same – the enemy sabotage group is destroyed, and the Ukrainian flag is flying over Prydorozhnie!” the military stressed.
It is also emphasized that Ukrainian forces continue to hold the settlement.
“Our Cossacks, by their presence on the ground, clearly prove: Prydorozhnie was and remains under the control of the Defense Forces of Ukraine,” the regiment noted.
As Ukrinform previously reported, according to the Operation Task Force South, information about the alleged capture of the village of Ternuvate in the Zaporizhzhia region by Russian troops is also untrue – the settlement remains under the control of the Defense Forces of Ukraine.
