Defense Forces thwart attempt by Russian sabotage and reconnaissance group to infiltrate near Pokrovsk
According to Ukrinform, the 7th Rapid Response Corps of the Airborne Assault Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this on Telegram.
“This happened when the enemy's sabotage and reconnaissance group tried to take advantage of the worsening weather conditions and attempted to advance unnoticed into the rear of our units,” the report said.
The enemy's movement in the forest belt was detected in time by the artillery reconnaissance of the 147th Separate Artillery Brigade of the 7th Rapid Response Corps of the Air Assault Forces.
After confirming the targets, the Russians were hit with a precise fire strike from 155 mm artillery.
As noted, as a result of coordinated action, three Russian invaders were killed, and the infiltration attempt was thwarted.
“According to preliminary information, the other two crawled into burrows wounded and slowly died,” the 7th Rapid Response Corps added.
As reported by Ukrinform, in Pokrovsk, Donetsk region, Ukrainian defenders used drones to destroy a 2S9 Nona-S self-propelled artillery unit, which Russian paratroopers planned to use to support assault operations toward Hryshyne.
