About 6,000 drones destroyed: General Staff confirms strike on UAV warehouse in Rostov

Ukrainian Defense Forces units struck an ammunition depot and an enemy command post and destroyed a UAV warehouse on Russian territory.

According to Ukrinform, the press service of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this on Facebook.

"As part of measures to reduce the offensive capabilities of the Russian aggressor, units of the Ukrainian Armed Forces continue to inflict fire damage on enemy military facilities in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine and on the territory of the Russian Federation. In particular, on the night of February 9, an enemy airborne troops command post was hit near the town of Sudzha in the Kursk region of the Russian Federation. An enemy ammunition depot was hit in the temporarily occupied territory of the Kherson region, near the village of Novooleksiivka," the report said.

In addition, it is noted that, based on the results of previous strikes, particularly on a UAV warehouse near the city of Rostov-on-Don in the Rostov region of the Russian Federation, the destruction of three containers containing FPV drones and components has been confirmed.

“According to preliminary data, about 6,000 FPV drones were destroyed. Several more containers with drones were also damaged,” the General Staff reported.

According to the press service, the enemy's losses and the extent of the damage caused are being clarified.

According to Ukrinform, the total combat losses of Russian forces from February 24, 2022, to February 9, 2026, in the war against Ukraine amounted to about 1,247,580 personnel, including 1,250 killed or wounded over the past day. Russia has also lost 11,654 tanks (+3), 24,013 armored fighting vehicles (+3), 37,056 artillery systems (+12), 1,637 multiple launch rocket systems (+0), 1,295 air defense systems (+0), 435 aircraft (+0), 347 helicopters (+0), 127,962 operational-tactical UAVs (+413), 4,270 cruise missiles (+1), 28 ships/boats (+0), 2 submarines (+0), 77,552 vehicles and fuel tankers (+113), and 4,069 units of special equipment (+0).
