Russia loses 1040 soldiers in war against Ukraine over past day

Russia suffered approximately 1,246,330 casualties in Ukraine between February 24, 2022 and February 8, 2026, with 1040 soldiers killed or wounded in the past 24 hours. 

The General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces stated this in a post on Facebook, Ukrinform reports.

Since the beginning of the full-scale war, Ukrainian forces have destroyed 11,651 (+1) Russian tanks, 24,010 (+1) armored fighting vehicles, 37,044 (+8) artillery systems, 1,637 multiple rocket launchers, 1,295 anti-aircraft warfare systems, and 4,269 (+24) cruise missiles. The Russian army has also lost 435 warplanes, 347 helicopters, 127,549 (+468) tactical unmanned aerial systems, 28 warships/cutters, 2 submarines, 77,439 (+60) vehicles and fuel trucks, and 4,069 (+5) pieces of special equipment.

Figures on enemy losses are being updated.

As Ukrinform reported, 241 combat engagements took place along the front line on February 7.
