Russian drone attacks high-rise building in Kharkiv, leaving five injured

As a result of the strike on a residential building in the Saltivskyi district, five people were injured.

Oleh Syniehubov, head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, stated this to journalists, according to an Ukrinform correspondent.

"As of this moment, five people are known to have been injured, including a 90-year-old woman. Doctors examined three of the wounded, provided assistance, and their condition is not serious. Two more people are receiving medical care; information is being assessed," Syniehubov said.

According to him, emergency services learned from neighbors that children might be in one of the apartments, but this was not confirmed.

Rescue workers continue to extinguish the fire; apartments from the fifth to the second floors were engulfed in flames. The strike hit the fifth floor, and floor slabs were likely damaged.

Spartak Borysenko, head of the department for combating crimes committed in the context of armed conflict at the Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor's Office, reported that, according to preliminary data, the Russians carried out the strike with a "Geran-2" unmanned aerial vehicle.

As of 16:40, the number of injured had risen to six, Oleh Syniehubov reported on Telegram. The condition of the injured is not serious.

As reported earlier, at about 14:45 the Russian army struck a residential building in the Saltivskyi district of Kharkiv, causing a fire.
