Freedom of Russia Legion reveals operation details in Kharkiv Region
The HUR special unit, the Freedom of Russia Legion, has disclosed details of an operation to destroy an ammunition depot belonging to Russian invaders in Kharkiv Region.
According to Ukrinform, the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine stated this on Facebook.
"In December 2025, a reconnaissance and sabotage group of the HUR MoD of Ukraine special unit, the Freedom of Russia Legion, carried out a successful operation deep behind enemy lines in Kharkiv Region. The legionnaires covertly penetrated more than seven kilometers into the enemy's battle formations, detected a field ammunition depot of Russian forces, and destroyed it along with the guarding personnel. There were no losses among the unit's fighters," the statement said.
According to the HUR, the destroyed facility played an important role in ensuring supply and rotation of Russian units in the Kupiansk area and directly affected their tactical stability.
Reconnaissance and sabotage groups of the Freedom of Russia Legion are consistently increasing the intensity of their actions deep in the enemy rear, moving from precision strikes to systematic pressure on logistics, command, and support elements of Russian forces.
Earlier, legion units disabled a logistics route in the Zaporizhzhia direction that was used to supply metal for the military infrastructure of temporarily occupied Crimea.
They also destroyed Russian personnel at a UAV control point in the Pokrovsk direction, eliminating operators and command elements involved in reconnaissance and fire adjustment.
The legion's priority remains unchanged: disrupting command systems, undermining logistics, and reducing the enemy's combat capabilities before it reaches the line of direct combat.
"This effort is also supported by the resistance movement of the Freedom of Russia Legion, which systematically destroys enemy military infrastructure on the territory of the Russian Federation," the HUR added.
As Ukrinform previously reported, the HUR showed footage of the work of fighters from "Tymur's Special Unit" in the Zaporizhzhia direction, including the destruction of hideouts and the capture of Russians as prisoners.
