One killed, one injured in nearly 30 attacks on Sumy region over past day
Russian forces carried out nearly 30 attacks on the Sumy region on January 30, killing one civilian woman and wounding another.
The Sumy Regional Military Administration announced this on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.
The administration said that a 27-year-old woman was killed in the Yunakivka community as a result of FPV drone attacks, and a 63-year-old woman was wounded in the Velyka Pysarivka community.
Overall, over the past day Russian troops carried out nearly 30 attacks on 17 settlements across 12 territorial communities in the region.
The highest number of shelling incidents was recorded in the Sumy and Shostka districts.
The enemy used artillery, multiple launch rocket systems, FPV drones, UAVs, and guided aerial bombs.
In the Sumy and Konotop communities, non-residential buildings were damaged; in the Hlukhiv community, an apartment building was damaged; and in the Velyka Pysarivka community, a private household was damaged.
In the Znob-Novhorodske community, a cultural center was destroyed, and an administrative building, a medical facility, a shop, and a private house were damaged.
In the Shostka community, a private residential house and outbuildings were destroyed, while other private homes and outbuildings were damaged.
Over the past day, six people were evacuated from border communities.
