Defense forces regain position in Lyman sector, capture two Russians

Special forces of the 10th Separate Rapid Response Detachment "DOZOR" of the State Border Guard Service and the 53rd Separate Mechanized Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine have restored a lost position on the Lyman front and captured two Russian servicemen.

According to Ukrinform, the State Border Guard Service stated this on its website and released a video of the combat operation.

"In the Lyman sector, special forces of 'DOZOR' of the State Border Guard Service and the 53rd Separate Mechanized Brigade conducted a joint strike-and-search operation on an enemy position. As a result of a firefight, the lost position was restored, and two Russian Armed Forces servicemen were captured," the statement reads.

During screening procedures, the prisoners' specialties were determined. The Russian sniper and communications officer were handed over to the competent authorities.

It is noted that the operation was carried out in close coordination with units of the 3rd Army Corps of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

As Ukrinform reported, Ukrainian Special Operations Forces in Kupiansk killed two Russian servicemen and captured two more.
