HUR special forces receive T12.R boat
Special forces of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry's Main Intelligence Directorate (HUR) have received a fast, well-armed medevac vessel for operations on water – the T12.R boat.
The HUR announced this on Facebook, Ukrinform reports.
The innovative boat was delivered as part of the volunteer initiative "Boats for HUR," launched and implemented by the Diana Podoliantchuk Charitable Foundation together with partners.
The T12.R is designed for evacuation and combat missions on water. The bow section features a ramp for landing or evacuation. The improved design also includes a special opening on the side – referred to by the fighters as the "dolphin door" – which allows people or cargo to be conveniently lifted from the water's surface.
In the Resque modification, the control console has been shifted closer to the stern, while rescue stretchers are installed in the central part of the boat to ensure comfortable and safe transport of the wounded.
The T12.R is also equipped with mounts and modules for weapons and additional special equipment.
Two 400-horsepower engines and modern electronics, including a navigation system, ensure fast and reliable movement across water areas.
As Ukrinform previously reported, HUR medics carried out a unique operation to rescue a wounded soldier in the open sea under enemy fire and without full medical equipment.
The evacuation was conducted using a boat delivered to HUR special units as part of the "Boats for HUR" initiative.
