Military shows destruction of Russian Strela-10 air defense system
Fighters from the 423rd Separate Battalion of Unmanned Systems of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, “Scythian Griffins,” destroyed a Russian Strela-10 anti-aircraft missile system designed to observe and shoot down targets at low altitudes.
The battalion's press service reported this on Facebook and published a video of the combat operation, Ukrinform reports.
“Such installations are no longer manufactured in Russia, and the approximate cost of replacement is $6–8 million. Most importantly, it was destroyed by a drone that is 250 times cheaper. We continue to destroy Russian air defense systems,” the military said.
As reported by Ukrinform, the total combat losses of Russian troops from February 24, 2022, to January 21, 2026, in the war against Ukraine amount to about 1,229,740 people.
