Four thousand buildings in Kyiv remain without heating after shelling — Klychko
Four thousand high-rise buildings in the capital remain without heating after the Russian attack.
According to Ukrinform, Kyiv Mayor Vitaliy Klychko reported this on Telegram.
“Currently, 4,000 of the 5,635 high-rise buildings that were without heat after the enemy's attack on the capital last night remain without heating. Utility workers have provided thermal supply to more than 1,600 residential buildings,” the mayor wrote.
He noted that the situation is complicated because most of these buildings are being connected for the second time after damage to critical infrastructure on January 9.
“Utility workers and energy companies continue to work to restore heat, water, and electricity to the homes of Kyiv residents,” Klychko added.
As reported, water infrastructure facilities in Kyiv were left without power following the Russian attack on January 20. A total of 5,635 high-rise buildings were left without heating.
