Russia loses 1,020 soldiers in Ukraine war over past day

Russia suffered approximately 1,227,440 casualties in Ukraine between February 24, 2022 and January 19, 2026, with 1,020 soldiers killed or wounded in the past 24 hours.

The General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces said this in a post on Facebook, Ukrinform reports.

Since the beginning of the full-scale war, Ukrainian forces have destroyed 11,573 (+2) Russian tanks, 23,922 (+3) armored fighting vehicles, 36,333 (+39) artillery systems, 1,618 (+1) multiple rocket launchers, 1,278 anti-aircraft warfare systems, and 4,163 cruise missiles. The Russian army has also lost 434 warplanes, 347 helicopters, 110,215 (+765) tactical unmanned aerial systems, 28 warships/cutters, 2 submarines, 74,876 (+170) vehicles and fuel trucks, and 4,045 (+1) pieces of special equipment.
