Russian troops attack two districts of Chernihiv region with drones over past day

Over the past day, Russian forces attacked two districts of the Chernihiv region with drones, damaging residential buildings as well as windows in a lyceum, a local administrative office, a kindergarten, and an outpatient clinic.

According to Ukrinform, the Head of the Chernihiv Regional Military Administration, Viacheslav Chaus, reported this on Telegram.

"In a village of the Nizhyn district, residential buildings were damaged as a result of yesterday morning's UAV attack. During the day, an FPV drone with a fiber-optic link attacked electrical equipment in Semenivka. Some consumers in the city were left without electricity," Chaus reported.

He added that in the evening a Geran drone attacked a village in the Novyi Bilous community. The blast wave damaged windows in a lyceum, the local administrative office, a kindergarten, an outpatient clinic, and a cultural center.

Chaus noted that over the past day alone, Russian troops shelled border settlements of the region 25 times, with 28 explosions recorded.

As Ukrinform reported, Russian forces struck a private house in the Chernihiv region with a Geran drone, injuring an 88-year-old woman and a 62-year-old man.
