Russian shelling of Kherson wounds municipal worker, elderly woman

As a result of Russian shelling in Kherson, a municipal worker and a 73-year-old woman were wounded.

According to Ukrinform, the Kherson Regional Military Administration stated this on Telegram.

"At around 13:00, a municipal worker was injured due to Russian shelling of Kherson," the statement said.

It is noted that the 60-year-old man was diagnosed with blast trauma and shrapnel wounds to the back. He was taken to hospital to receive medical care.

According to the Kherson City Military Administration, the injured man is an employee of one of the municipal enterprises of the Kherson City Council.

Earlier, at around 12:30, Russian occupiers struck the central part of Kherson. A 73-year-old woman who was outdoors came under enemy fire. She sustained blast injuries and a shrapnel wound to the arm. An ambulance took her to hospital in moderate condition.

As Ukrinform previously reported, on January 9 Russian forces shelled a hospital in Kherson's Dniprovskyi district, wounding healthcare workers.
