Russian forces shell central Kherson, leaving one dead

In the morning, Russian troops shelled the city center of Kherson; at present, one fatality has been confirmed, and law enforcement agencies are establishing the victim's identity.

The head of the Kherson City Military Administration, Yaroslav Shanko, reported this on Facebook, according to Ukrinform.

"In the morning, the enemy attacked central Kherson. At present, one person is known to have been killed as a result of shrapnel wounds. Law enforcement agencies are currently establishing the victim's identity. Condolences to the family and loved ones of the deceased," he wrote.

According to him, the blast wave damaged building facades and shattered windows. Municipal services are working to eliminate the consequences of the shelling, while social workers of the Kherson City Military Administration are providing the necessary consultations to owners of damaged homes.

As Ukrinform previously reported, five people were injured in the Kherson region over the past day as a result of Russian aggression.
