Hangar and houses damaged in Chernihiv region due to Russian drone attack

The Russian military attacked the Novhorod-Siverskyi district of Chernihiv region with drones, damaging a hangar and setting a house on fire.

This was reported on Facebook by Oleksandr Seliverstov, the Head of the Novhorod-Siverskyi District Military Administration, according to Ukrinform.

“Civilian infrastructure was hit, with the enemy striking a hangar in Novhorod-Siverskyi with three Geran-2 UCAVs. The enemy also struck two private houses, causing a fire and damaging windows and doors,” Seliverstov said.

In turn, the Head of the Chernihiv Regional Military Administration, Viacheslav Chaus, specified that a house in the village of the Semenivka community caught fire due to a drone strike.

In addition, according to him, a Russian Geran UAV hit the territory of a food industry enterprise in the Chernihiv district.

The Head of the Regional Military Administration noted that over the past day, the Russian military had carried out 71 strikes on the Chernihiv region, with 102 explosions recorded.

Chaus stressed that the border area remains the most dangerous zone. The authorities are working on evacuating the population. In particular, people have already left three villages.

As reported by Ukrinform, on the night of January 5, during a combined attack by the Russian army on Chernihiv, a private residential building was hit, resulting in a fire, and destruction and damage were also recorded in the city.
