Russian army loses 990 soldiers and two multiple launch rocket systems in war against Ukraine in one day

The total combat losses of Russian troops from February 24, 2022, to January 5, 2026, in the war against Ukraine amount to approximately 1,212,520 people, including 990 people over the past day.

This is stated in a Facebook post by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as reported by Ukrinform.

The Russian army also lost 11,507 (+8) tanks, 23,857 (+2) armored combat vehicles, 35,785 (+29) artillery systems, 1,592 (+2) multiple launch rocket systems, 1,268 (+0) air defense systems, aircraft – 434 (+0), helicopters – 347 (+0), tactical-level UAVs – 100,564 (+704), cruise missiles – 4,137 (+0), ships/boats – 28 (+0), submarines – 2 (+0), vehicles and tankers – 72,945 (+169), special equipment – 4,036 (+1).

As reported by Ukrinform, on January 4, as of 22:00, there were 154 combat clashes between the Defense Forces and Russian invaders on the front line. The enemy attacked most actively in the Huliaypole and Pokrovsk directions.
