Russian forces kill one, wound four in Donetsk region over past day
On January 1, Russian invaders killed one resident of the Donetsk region and wounded four others.
This is according to Vadym Filashkin, head of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration, via Telegram, as reported by Ukrinform.
Filashkin said that the Russians killed two people in Kostiantynivka and one person in Oleksiievo-Druzhkivka. Four other residents of the region were injured over the same period.
The total number of Russian-caused casualties in the Donetsk region stands at 3,862 dead and 8,740 injured, not including those in Mariupol and Volnovakha.
As previously reported by Ukrinform, on New Year’s night, Ukrainian drones struck 10 Russian military and infrastructure targets in the region. On January 1, the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ UAV units also destroyed a Russian 50N6E radar station of the S-350 Vityaz surface-to-air missile system in Donetsk region.
