Civilians killed and wounded as Russians hit Kharkiv with glide bombs
In Kharkiv, Russian glide bomb strikes have resulted in fatalities and injuries, with the exact number of casualties still being clarified.
This was reported on Telegram by city mayor Ihor Terekhov, according to Ukrinform.
"Information about fatalities has arrived – the number is being clarified," the post stated. There are also injured people; fires have broken out at the scene.
"The strike hit one of Kharkiv’s busiest roads – several cars are burning, and windows in nearby buildings have been shattered. People were inside the burning vehicles. The number of injured and dead is being clarified," the mayor added in a follow-up message.
Later, he specified that one person died and three others were injured, one of whom is in serious condition.
According to Ukraine’s Air Forces, Russian troops carried out glide bomb launches.
As reported by Ukrinform, on December 24, Russia attacked a thermal power plant and a factory near Kharkiv, killing one person and injuring 13 others.
