Enemies suffer heavy losses attempting to advance near Sotnytskyi Kozachok in Kharkiv region

Russian occupation forces are attempting to expand the combat zone in the Kharkiv region, with the enemy sustaining significant losses in the area of Sotnytskyi Kozachok.

As reported by Ukrinform, this was stated on television by Andrii Demchenko, spokesperson for the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine.

“In the area of Sotnytskyi Kozachok, the enemy has long been trying to expand the combat zone onto the territory of our country, but in recent days, the intensity of attempts by infantry groups to enter has been particularly high. Once again, whether these groups were small or larger in number, and whether they attempted to concentrate in this settlement in the Kharkiv region, which I note is located directly adjacent to the state border, the enemy is suffering heavy losses,” Demchenko said.

According to him, units of the Defense Forces operating in this sector are employing artillery of various calibers as well as unmanned aerial vehicles to prevent the adversary from expanding the combat zone in this area of Ukraine.

As previously reported, Russian forces sustained losses during an attempted assault in the area of Sotnytskyi Kozachok and subsequently retreated. The Joint Forces Task Force stated that the enemy attempted a breakthrough aimed at strengthening its offensive capabilities.

In the summer of 2024, the occupation army had already made attempts to expand its combat foothold, seeking to entrench itself in Sotnytskyi Kozachok, a part of the Zolochiv territorial community bordering the Kharkiv region.
