Ukrainian forces hold ground in central Pokrovsk, expand supply routes to Myrnohrad
Ukrainian Defense Forces are blocking the advance of Russian troops in the central part of Pokrovsk, Donetsk region.
According to Ukrinform, this was reported on Facebook by the Operation Task Force “East”.
Active operations by Ukrainian units continue in the Pokrovsk-Myrnohrad agglomeration. Russian forces are suffering significant losses.
“Ukrainian Defense Forces continue to control the northern part of Pokrovsk. In the town center, our soldiers are blocking the enemy’s advance,” the statement reads.
In Myrnohrad, Ukrainian units hold defensive positions and eliminate Russian invaders approaching the town.
Logistics remain challenging. Measures are being taken to expand supply corridors to Myrnohrad in order to strengthen delivery capabilities.
It is noted that Ukrainian units in the Operation Task Force “East” area of responsibility are resisting enemy pressure and, since the start of the day, have repelled 44 Russian assaults.
On the Pokrovsk front, Russian forces attempted to advance toward Ukrainian positions 27 times near the settlements of Nikanorivka, Rodynske, Chervonyi Lyman, Myrnohrad, Pokrovsk, Kotlyne, Udachne, Molodetske, Novoserhiivka, Horikhove, and Dachne, with two clashes still ongoing.
As previously reported by Ukrinform, in order to preserve the lives of personnel and the combat effectiveness of units, Ukrainian defenders had withdrawn from the town of Siversk in the Donetsk region.
