Russia launches massive attacks on energy infrastructure, triggering emergency power cuts in several regions
Russia is launching massive attacks on Ukraine's energy infrastructure, and emergency power cuts have been introduced in a number of regions.
According to Ukrinform, the Ukrainian Ministry of Energy reported this on Facebook.
“Russia is once again attacking our energy infrastructure. As a result, emergency power cuts have been introduced in a number of regions of Ukraine,” the statement said.
As soon as the security situation allows, rescue workers and energy specialists will begin to eliminate the consequences of the attack in order to restore power supply in the regions as soon as possible.
Emergency power cuts will be lifted once the situation in the power grid has stabilized.
The Ministry of Energy has called on the public to remain calm and follow official information.
As reported by Ukrinform, an air raid alert has been declared in the capital and all regions of Ukraine due to the threat of Russian strike drones and missiles. Emergency power cuts have been introduced in the Kyiv region.
