Ukraine's air defense forces neutralized 37 of 69 Russian drones.

According to Ukrinform, the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this on Telegram.

From 18:00 on Tuesday, December 16, Russia attacked Ukraine with 69 strike UAVs of the Shahed and Gerbera types, as well as drones of other types, launched from the directions of Kursk, Oryol, Primorsko-Akhtarsk, Millerovo (Russia), and Hvardiiske (temporarily occupied Crimea). About 40 of them were Shahed-type drones.

The air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare and unmanned systems units, and mobile fire groups of the Defense Forces of Ukraine.

According to preliminary data, as of 09:00 on Wednesday, December 17, air defenses shot down or suppressed 37 enemy drones in northern, southern, and eastern Ukraine.

Impacts by 29 strike UAVs were recorded at 12 locations.

The attack is ongoing, with several enemy drones still in Ukrainian airspace, the Air Force warned.

As Ukrinform reported, two residential buildings were damaged in the Vyshhorod district of the Kyiv region as a result of a Russian drone attack.
