Russian troops hit building in Sumy with drone in morning
On the morning of February 6, Russian troops struck an apartment building in Sumy with a drone.
This was reported by Acting Mayor Artem Kobzar on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.
“Today, at around 6:30 a.m., an enemy strike was recorded on an apartment in the Zarichnyi district of our city,” Kobzar said.
About 11 windows, 12 balconies, and a car were damaged.
All relevant services are on scene.
Meanwhile, the Sumy Regional Military Administration reported on Facebook that Russian troops had carried out nearly 60 strikes on 40 settlements in 18 territorial communities of the Sumy region between the morning of February 5 and the morning of February 6.
Most of the strikes were recorded in the Sumy and Shostka districts.
The enemy used mortars, artillery, MLRS, FPV drones, UAVs, and guided aerial bombs.
A passenger car was damaged in the Bereza community.
A passenger car was also damaged in the Znob-Novhorod community.
In the Shostka community, residential buildings, farm buildings, administrative and non-residential premises, and civilian infrastructure facilities were damaged.
Private residential buildings were destroyed in the Shalyhyne community.
In the Esman community, a private residential building and farm buildings were destroyed.
In the Hlukhiv community, civilian infrastructure facilities were damaged.
In the Mykolaivka settlement community, private residential buildings, farm buildings, and non-residential premises were damaged.
In the Krasnopillia community, a private passenger car was damaged.
In the Velyka Pysarivka community, a farm vehicle was damaged.
A private passenger car was damaged in the Richky community.
A private passenger car was damaged in the Mykolaivka village community.
A private passenger car and an apartment building were damaged in the Sumy community.
Over the past 24 hours, local authorities, together with the State Emergency Service, the National Police, and NGOs, evacuated 14 people from border communities.
As reported by Ukrinform, on February 5, two women were injured in Shostka as a result of a Russian strike on infrastructure.
