Defense forces confidently hold designated positions in Myrnohrad - AFU

Defense forces are preventing Russian invaders from blocking land communications between Myrnohrad and Pokrovsk.

This was reported by the “East” military group on Facebook, according to Ukrinform.

It is noted that Ukrainian units are confidently holding their positions in Myrnohrad. Logistics to the city are complicated, but are being provided to the necessary extent.

The Russians are trying to storm the city with small infantry groups from the northeast, in particular from the village of Novoekonomichne. Defenders detect these attempts in time, fire on the invaders, and neutralize them. Some of the enemy assault troops save their lives by surrendering. The day before, marines in the area had already captured four Russian soldiers.

Attempts by the invaders to advance south of Myrnohrad are also being blocked. Ukrainian defenders are destroying enemy assault groups on the approaches to the city and carrying out comprehensive measures to effectively destroy them and deplete their reserves.

In Pokrovsk, search and assault operations and the elimination of invaders in urban areas continue. Defenders are blocking Russian attempts to gain a foothold, destroying enemy assault troops, and cutting off their logistical routes on the approaches to the city.

As reported by Ukrinform, Russian troops intend to surround Myrnohrad, moving towards Rivne and Svitle.
