Russian forces destroy two schools in Kharkiv region
Last weekend, Russian forces damaged two schools in the Shevchenkove community of the Kupiansk district.
According to Ukrinform, this was reported on Facebook by the community’s head, Serhii Starikov.
“The enemy continues to cynically destroy the social infrastructure of the Shevchenkove community. This weekend, strikes were carried out on educational institutions in Novomykolaivka and Starovirivka,” the post reads.
According to Starikov, 10 out of 11 educational institutions in the community have been destroyed or significantly damaged.
"Of the eleven schools that were operating in the community before the war, as of now, two have been destroyed and cannot be restored. Eight have been significantly damaged and require major repairs or reconstruction," the community head noted.
As reported, Russian troops attacked the Kharkiv region with guided aerial bombs and drones over the past day; there is one casualty.
