Kyiv authorities report two killed, nine injured in massive Russian attack
As a result of a massive air attack by Russian forces on Kyiv, two people were killed and nine others injured.
The Kyiv Main Department of the State Emergency Service (SES) reported this, according to Ukrinform.
“In Kyiv, as a result of the nighttime attack, two people were killed, six injured, and 18 rescued, including three children,” the statement reads.
It is noted that SES units continue to work at the sites of strikes and falling debris.
In the Pecherskyi district, a 22-story residential building was hit. “Damage spans the 4th–8th floors. The fire has been extinguished, and debris removal is underway. Rescuers saved one person with limited mobility,” the report states.
In the Dniprovskyi district, a 9-story residential building was hit, resulting in two deaths and five injuries. Seventeen people were rescued, including three children. Fires on the 5th–8th floors were extinguished. Work continues to remove debris and search for possible victims.
“Firefighting operations are also ongoing at a garage cooperative,” the SES added.
Shortly afterward, Kyiv City Military Administration head Tymur Tkachenko clarified that among the two people killed was an 86-year-old woman.
“There is also information about seven injured, including one child. We are verifying the data,” he said.
Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko later reported nine injured.
“According to medical data, there are now nine injured in the capital. Among them is one child. Three adults have been hospitalized,” Klitschko noted.
As previously reported, overnight on November 25, Russian forces launched a combined air attack on Ukraine using cruise and ballistic missiles, as well as attack drones. Air raid alerts were declared across the entire country.
