Voloshyn refutes Russian claims about 'capture' of several villages in south region
Ukraine's Defense Forces continue to restrain Russian troops in the southern direction, repel attacks, and carry out blocking actions in areas of the enemy's highest activity.
Spokesperson for the Southern Defense Forces, Vladyslav Voloshyn, stated this in a comment to Ukrinform.
According to him, despite massive strikes and heavy shelling, Ukrainian units are fighting for every centimeter of land and are inflicting comprehensive damage on the enemy.
"At the moment, blocking actions are underway in certain directions. We have stopped the enemy in some sections of the line of contact where it was showing the greatest activity. Blocking actions, comprehensive strikes, and destruction are ongoing. It is premature to say that there is a threat of breakthroughs," Voloshyn noted.
He urged people to rely exclusively on official reports from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as Russian propaganda is spreading false information about the alleged capture of several settlements.
"The enemy even drops its flags from drones, then takes photos so that various companies record the presence of Russians in a particular settlement, which is not true. This specifically concerns Oleksandrohrad, Orestopil, Sichneve, and Novoselivka," Voloshyn said.
As Ukrinform reported, 216 combat engagements between Ukraine's Defense Forces and Russian invaders were recorded on the front line yesterday, November 16.
