Russia launches large-scale drone attack on Odesa region: energy, port facilities hit, several vessels damaged

Fires broke out at energy and port infrastructure facilities in Odesa region as a result of an attack by Russian drones, leaving one person injured.

According to Ukrinform, the State Emergency Service of Ukraine reported this on Facebook.

“Russia once again attacked Odesa region with strike drones. The impacts caused fires at energy and port infrastructure facilities,” the report says.

According to preliminary information, one person was injured.

Units of the State Emergency Service and local fire brigades were involved in eliminating the consequences of the attack.

As Head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration Oleh Kiper reported on Facebook, explosions were heard in several towns across the region during the massive Russian attack.

“Despite the effective work of air defense, there are recorded consequences for energy and port infrastructure. Several civilian vessels sustained damage during the attack. The fires that broke out were promptly extinguished by rescuers,” the report says.

As reported by Ukrinform earlier, on the night of November 16, the Russians attacked energy facilities in the south of Odesa region. A solar power plant was damaged.
