Parliament proposes dismissal of Ministers Galushchenko, Hrynchuk
Draft resolutions have been registered in the Verkhovna Rada to dismiss Minister of Justice German Galushchenko and Minister of Energy Svitlana Hrynchuk.
According to Ukrinform, the relevant documents are listed under registration numbers 14200 and 14201 on the parliament's website.
The initiatives were submitted by Yaroslav Zhelezniak, a member of the Holos parliamentary faction.
The texts of the documents and their explanatory notes have not yet been published, but on his Telegram channel, Zhelezniak stated that he is proposing Galushchenko's dismissal for "systemic corruption, failure to prepare for the defense of the energy sector, and ties to traitor Derkach." He also called for Hrynchuk's dismissal, claiming that she "represents Mindich's interests in the government and previously did so as Minister of Ecology."
As Ukrinform reported earlier, the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) announced the exposure of a corruption scheme in the energy sector. The criminal group's main activity involved the systematic receipt of unlawful benefits from Energoatom's contractors amounting to 10–15% of contract values.
The office of the criminal organization in the energy sector was located in a building owned by the family of former Ukrainian MP and current Russian senator Andrii Derkach.
