Russia actively prepares for possible military conflict with NATO — Skibitskyi
Russia is actively preparing for a possible military conflict with NATO.
This was stated by Vadym Skibitskyi, Deputy Chief of the Defense Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense, at the RBC-Ukraine Energy that Holds Ukraine forum, Ukrinform reports.
"And this is not just our assessment of military developments; it is confirmed by the documents we have today. When the Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation presented the concept of the Russian Federation's armaments until 2036 in June, he clearly stated in the first point that this concept is intended, first and foremost, to prepare the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation for war with NATO by 2030," he said.
Skibitskyi also pointed out that the Russian economy is already in recession, despite the Kremlin's attempts to hide it. More than 40% of the Russian Federation's federal budget goes to the war.
In an interview with Ukrinform, Oleh Ivashchenko, Head of Ukraine's Foreign Intelligence Service, said that after the war in Ukraine ends in two to four years, Russia will be technically ready for a new aggression against Europe.
