Russia’s war casualty toll in Ukraine up by 730 over past day

The total combat losses of Russian forces from February 24, 2022, to October 17, 2025, in the war against Ukraine now amount to approximately 1,128,030 personnel, including 730 losses in the past 24 hours.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this on Facebook, as cited by Ukrinform.

In addition, Russian forces have reportedly lost: 11,266 (+5) tanks, 23,394 (+10) armored combat vehicles, 33,748 (+35) artillery systems, 1,520 (+0) MLRS / rocket launchers, 1,228 (+1) air defense systems, 427 (+0) aircraft, 346 (+0) helicopters, 71,025 (+588) operational-tactical UAVs, 3,864 (+5) cruise missiles, 28 (+0) warships / boats, one (+0) submarine, 64,541 (+73) vehicles and fuel tankers, 3,978 (+1) units of special equipment.

Earlier reports noted that during the Dobropillia operation in Donetsk region, Ukrainian Defense Forces liberated 182.8 sq. km from Russian occupiers and cleared 230.1 sq. km from enemy reconnaissance and sabotage groups.
