SSU drones cause explosions at Bashneft oil refinery, located 1,400 kilometers from Ukraine
On the morning of October 11, long-range drones from the Center of Special Operations "A” of the Security Service of Ukraine attacked the Bashneft-UNPZ oil refinery in Ufa (Republic of Bashkortostan, Russian Federation), located 1,400 kilometers from Ukraine.
According to Ukrinform, this was reported by an informed source in the SSU.
Ufa is one of Russia's largest oil refining centers and supplies fuel and lubricants to the Russian Armed Forces.
After the explosions at Bashneft-UNPZ, firefighting equipment was dispatched to the site, and a black smoke rose above the refinery.
According to preliminary information, after the drone strike, a fire broke out in the area of the ELOU-AVT-6 crude oil processing facility.
"This is the third SSU deep strike in Bashkortostan in the last month — 1,400 kilometers from Ukraine. Such strikes demonstrate that there are no safe places in the deep rear of the Russian Federation. The SSU can reach any objects on enemy territory that are working against Ukraine," a source in the SSU emphasized.
As reported by Ukrinform, an oil refinery in the city of Kirishi in the Leningrad region, one of the largest in Russia, shut down its most powerful oil distillation unit, CDU-6, after a drone attack and fire.
