Ukrainian air defense destroys over 10,000 Russian targets in September

Throughout September, Ukraine’s air defense forces destroyed 10,215 Russian aerial targets.

According to Ukrinform, this was reported by the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Telegram.

Among the downed targets were: 1 Kh-47M2 Kinzhal aeroballistic missile; 79 Kh-101/Kh-55SM cruise missiles; 2 Iskander-M/KN-23 ballistic missiles; 20 Kalibr cruise missiles; 9 Kh-59/Kh-69 guided air-launched missiles; 15 Iskander-K cruise missiles; 2,724 Shahed-type attack UAVs; 755 reconnaissance UAVs; 6,610 other types of UAVs.

In addition, the Air Force conducted 327 sorties during September, including approximately 270 for fighter aircraft coverage and over 50 for strike missions and air support for ground forces.

Ukrainian aviation also destroyed 516 aerial targets over the month, striking command posts, logistics facilities, and concentrations of enemy personnel and equipment.

As previously reported by Ukrinform, Ukraine’s Air Defense Forces intercepted 44 out of 49 drones launched by Russia in an overnight attack on September 30.
