Ukrainian forces neutralize 128 of 154 Russian drones
Ukraine’s Defense Forces successfully neutralized 128 Russian drones of various types out of the 154 launched by Russia in an overnight attack beginning on the evening of September 25.
According to Ukrinform, this was reported by the Air Force Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Facebook.
During the night of September 26 (starting at 18:00 on September 25), the enemy launched 154 strike UAVs — including Shahed, Geran, and other types — from directions including Bryansk, Oryol, and Millerovo in Russia. Around 80 of the drones were of the Shahed type.
The aerial assault was countered by Ukrainian aviation, anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare and unmanned systems units, and mobile fire groups of Ukraine's Defense Forces.
As of 07:30, preliminary data indicated that 128 enemy drones — Shahed, Geran, and others — were shot down or suppressed across northern, southern, eastern, and central regions of Ukraine.
There were 26 confirmed drone strikes across nine locations, along with one site where downed drones fell.
As previously reported by Ukrinform, on the morning of September 25, Ukrainian forces shot down a Russian Su-34 aircraft in the Zaporizhzhia sector.
