In Kyiv, trolleybus network and infrastructure near Shuliavska metro station damaged after drone attack
In the capital, as a result of an attack by Russian drones on the night of September 19, transport infrastructure facilities in the Solomianskyi and Shevchenkivskyi districts were damaged.
According to Ukrinform, this was reported by the Kyiv City Military Administration.
According to the Department of Transport Infrastructure of the Kyiv City Military Administration, in particular, an underground passage, an elevator near the Shuliavska metro station, road barriers, and outdoor lighting networks were damaged.
Debris from the drones also damaged the trolleybus contact network on Beresteiskyi Avenue.
As noted, specialists from the Kyivpastrans municipal enterprise quickly repaired the damage, so trolleybus service began on time.
“Due to damage to the connection channel to the telecommunications network operator, there were temporary interruptions in card payments and ticket validation at the turnstiles of the high-speed tram and funicular stations. Currently, the Internet network of Kyivpastrans is gradually being restored,” the Kyiv City Military Administration added.
Road crews and specialized equipment are involved in eliminating the consequences of the shelling. Seven specialists and two pieces of equipment are currently working.
As noted by the Kyiv City Military Administration, restoration work will continue until the damage is completely repaired.
In addition, six rescuers and one unit of equipment from the Kyiv Rescue Service carried out emergency restoration work in the Solomianskyi district.
As reported by Ukrinform, during the attack by enemy drones in Kyiv, debris was falling in the Solomianskyi and Shevchenkivskyi districts, and the trolleybus network was damaged.
