Injury toll following Russia’s strike on gas station in Poltava region rises to five

The number of people injured in Russia’s strike on a gas station in Poltava region has risen to five.

According to Ukrinform, this was reported by the Poltava Regional Police.

On September 17, Russia carried out a drone attack on Poltava region. At present, five people are known to have been injured. Among the wounded are a female gas station operator (born 1991) and four truck drivers — two born in 1975, one in 1989, and one in 1995 — whose civilian cargo vehicles were parked near the explosion. All of the injured were hospitalized.

Police officers, bomb disposal experts, Security Service personnel, rescuers, medical workers, utility crews, volunteers, and representatives of other law enforcement agencies were involved in responding to the aftermath of the attack.

As reported earlier, a Russian drone struck a gas station in Poltava district, with four people initially reported injured.
