Russian drones attack critical infrastructure in Sumy community, civilian injured

Russian attack drones targeted critical and industrial infrastructure in the Sumy community, leaving one civilian injured.

The head of the Sumy Regional Military Administration, Oleh Hryhorov, reported this on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.

“Today, the enemy once again attacked the Sumy community with strike drones. Our defenders managed to destroy some of the incoming targets, but others caused damage. There were direct hits on critical and industrial infrastructure. During the downing of one drone, a civilian man was injured by debris,” Hryhorov stated.

He added that the injured man was hospitalized and is receiving necessary medical care.

Hryhorov also noted that the attack sparked fires and caused disruptions to the power grid.

Emergency services are currently working to eliminate the consequences of the strike.

As previously reported, according to Sumyoblenergo, parts of Sumy and nearby settlements in the Sumy district were left without electricity due to the Russian strike on critical infrastructure.
