Russian missile strike targets demining mission near Chernihiv — one dead, two injured

Russian forces launched a missile strike near a checkpoint in the village of Novoselivka, located just outside Chernihiv.

The head of the Chernihiv City Military Administration, Dmytro Bryzhynskyi, reported this on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.

“A missile strike hit near the checkpoint at the entrance to Novoselivka,” Bryzhynskyi wrote.

Later, Bryzhynskyi confirmed that one person was killed and two others injured as a result of the Russian missile strike near Chernihiv.

Russian forces launched a missile strike targeting members of a humanitarian demining mission who were actively working in the area.

“The missile strike hit personnel from a humanitarian demining mission while they were conducting clearance operations,” he wrote.

As Ukrinform previously reported, due to the threat of ballistic missile strikes, air raid alerts were activated in Kyiv and across several regions.
